Drugstore Wishlist

Left:      One      Two      Three      Four      Five      Six      :Right

I AM ALWAYS LUSTING AFTER MAKEUP! That's just a given but recently there have been some incredible drugstore beauties that I am dying to have! These are those...

1: L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Waterproof Mascara

Everyone is going mad for Miss Baby Roll! So much so that I have looked in countless drugstores and it is always out of stock! Which further enforces that it must be good and I really really need it.  As summer is approaching, i’m after the waterproof mascara so I can have lovely fluttery lashes even in the pool!

2: I Heart Makeup Chocolate Vice Palette

I already have the white chocolate version of this palette and have been continuously surprised at how often I reach for it. It is such incredible quality for such a minuscule price so I plan on eventually owning the whole collection! I want this one next because the red tones are really luring me in!

3: I Heart Makeup Light and Glow

As I am already a huge fan of the I Heart Chocolate eyeshadow palettes, I now want to explore some of the other items from the range. This little palette is in cute chocolate bar style packaging containing a baby pink blush and a gorgeous natural champagne highlight. Seems like it would be great for travel.

4: Makeup Revolution Skin Kiss in Ice Kiss

Is this not the most appealing thing you have ever seen?! Everything about this looks so high end! From all the swatches I've seen on youtube, this highlighter look so incredibly pigmented and glazed doughnut-esque.  NEED!

5: Makeup Revolution Renaissance Lipstick

Another new Makeup Revolution product, these Renaissance lipsticks also look very expensive and reviews for them have been incredible! I haven’t got my heart set on any particular shade, I just know I need to try one!

6: I Hear Makeup Bronze and Glow

Again, an I Heart Makeup offering in the form of this adorable bronzer and highlighter duo. I’m not sure the highlighter would work for me, it is a little dark for my pale skin but the bronzer looks a perfect shade for a natural everyday look. I need it!

I feel like the drugstore is churning out amazing products at the moment, I can’t possibly keep up with all the amazing new released! What have you been lusting after? Let me know!

WISHLIST: Primark Heels

Check Them Out HERE

Primark is heaven for me, fashionable, affordable and everything you could ever possible need all under one roof. They always have great shoes, Primark is always my go to place for summer shoes and work shoes especially but it has been a while since I've bought a pair of heels from there.

I follow Primark on instagram because it is the best place to see all the new and upcoming releases without having to go to store and search blindly through all the different products! It's like a spending minefield in that place!

I can't buy six pairs of shoes considering I already own more shoes than I need but these six pairs are calling my name so bloody loudly! I'm really loving quirky shoes at the moment, I also love a comfy heel which I consider all of these to be. I know that might seem mental for some people but I'm a pretty confident heel wearer so I define comfort not at the height of a heel but the shape of the shoe. These shoes are dance the night away, wear to to dinner and basically just shoes I won't fall over while wearing.

I'm feeling really feminine recently which I'm sure you have gathered from this little collection! I'm  loving pastel shades, embroidery, velvet and satin so much!

I wear black a lot so I like to wear a more feminine shoe to break up the black a little!

I will definitely be buying at least one pair of these shoes to be my holiday heels but I just can't decide!

Which do you think should be the winner?

TECHNIC WEEK: Colour Fix Cream Contour Palette

This palette again was a cheap way for me to explore cream contour as I am a die hard powder contour fan. I like the blown out look of a powder but I wanted to experiment with the dewy look of a cream contour.

I'm a pale girl but I do have an olive skin tone so there are definitely people a lot paler than me but considering this I can only use one of the contour shades, the darkest one!

The concealer shades aren't quite right for my colouring either, just the lightest one works for me. So, this is a strange palette as I feel like the contour shades work the best for pale girls and the concealers work best for darker skinned ladies. It's kind of nice that everyone can use this palette but they certainly can't use all the shades!

Saying this, considering the tiny price tag it doesn't really bother me much that I won't use 6 of the creams. You could always pass if on to a friend once you hit pan?!

I love the consistency of these, very creamy and pigmented but not slippery if that makes sense at all! They do grip the skin really well. They last a long time, look super natural on the skin and blend out like a dream!

My only issue is that they are very drying on the skin and can bunch up on dry areas. I have oily skin so I can use them just fine but if you are a dry skinned girl maybe this palette isn't for you. But Technic do make other contour kits so maybe look into one of those instead!

Overall, I'm really impressed with this palette. I'm not quite a cream contour convert but I'm certainly enjoying experimenting!

TECHNIC WEEK: Colour Fix Cream Corrector Palette

I had never tried colour correcting before and recently I have become highly addicted to watching youtube videos on the subject so I thought what better way to experiment the trend than with this corrector palette from my new favourite brand.

First off, this cost £2.50. Like, WHAT?! For a whole palette of colour correctors?! YES!

If like me you are not too skilled with colour correction yet, this is the palette for you.  If you love it then this is a great product with everything you need and if you don't, it cost less than a cup of Starbucks coffee.

There is a guide on the back telling you how to use each shade and what each will correct so it really is idiot proof.

The palette contains 7 colour correcting creams and 1 highlight cream. I don't quite understand why the palette contains a highlight as it is not a colour corrector but it is actually one of my favourite creams in the palette.

Lets talk about my most used creams so far...

The top swatch is the yellow shade, I use this under my eyes to combat my dark circles and I also like it to cover redness on my chin. Honestly, I still don't quite know how to use the shades because I'm too lazy to read the instructions but it works really well for this.

Next is the lightest peach tone, I like this for around my nose. Again, I don't know if thats what it is for.

All of the creams in this palette have the same thick cream consistency. They are not oily at all like you might expect, they need to be warmed up a little with your finger tips but they provide the most incredible coverage due to the thickness. They can be quite drying so I wouldn't recommend it if you have dry skin but us oily girls will love this!

The one and only highlight is a very sheer sliver tone, it didn't seem practical at first but what I have found is that it works really well under a powder highlight, any highlight works over this. It's like a universal strobe cream!

I have been using this everyday without fail! If you want to as well purchase HERE

TECHNIC WEEK: Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powders

Technic Week Day Three!

These are the bad boys that started my love of Technic, my boyfriend actually got me the light pink one for Christmas. As a little stocking filler. At the time I was happy with it, I love a highlighter but when I tried it I just knew I had found my new addiction.

In true Technic style, a huge pan with a clear lid. Very sturdy packaging to protect the Queen of a highlighter that is inside.

Technic are terrible at labelling products with shade names so I know that the top swatch is called Pink Sparkle but the bottom (which is my favourite) has no name that I am aware of.

Pink Sparkle is just that, it is a true pink with a mixture of both fine and chunky glitters. It looks great as a highlight but I also really like it as an eyeshadow. It does have a little fall out but nothing that can't easily be swept away.

The bottom unknown shade is a light champagne pink, shade wise it is pretty standard, there are many highlighters available in this hue but what sets it apart is the finish on the skin. It is so finely milled, no glitter at all but with the consistency of a shimmer eyeshadow almost. It looks so incredibly natural, like the light is hitting your cheekbones at just the right angle. I wear this almost everyday.

If you take anything away from TECHNIC WEEK please let it be that this highlight is a necessity in your collection!

TECHNIC WEEK: Superfine Matte Blusher

Day Two of Technic Week!

My most recent Technic purchase is this Superfine Matte Blusher. I don't know if this has a shade name as the packaging doesn't say so but it is a three shade blush consisting of a baby pink, hot pink and a coral.

Packaging is again a clear plastic compact so it is great for easy product selection but it is nothing too fancy.

The pan size is pretty damn large so you get a good amount of product for your money and you can really get your brush in there if you want to swirl all the colours together but the shades separately are still pretty large so they can also be used separately. So essentially you are getting four blushers in one.

Swatches show from left in the compact through the three colours then the last swatch is them all swirled together.

I personally really like the shades swirled together the most, it creates a beautiful pink toned coral which for me, is very wearable for the everyday so I'm certain ill get a good amount of wear out of this product.

As the name states this is a matte blush, that is very much true. At the moment I have dry skin on my cheeks, I have no idea why as usually I am the oiliest fish in the sea so this blush does enhance that dryness which is crap but I'm confident that when my natural oils come back, this blush will be incredible.

In summary, if you are a dry skin girl this is a no go but if you are an oily one then this blush will be your new baby!

TECHNIC WEEK: Strobe Kit

You might be wondering, why is there a post on a Monday? Well my lovelies, I am so in love with Technic cosmetics that have decided to make this working week TECHNIC WEEK! Everyday for the next five days there will be a new post showcasing a Technic product that *SPOILER* I love.

Technic is a budget brand that doesn't get enough credit. It can most easily be purchased on amazon.com but it is also sold in some pretty random places such as in YOURS Clothing stores.

I get it on amazon because it is the cheaper and almost ways has free delivery. Each product is no more than £5 but most are around the £2.50 mark which is how much this little gem of a highlighting palette was!

Yeah you read that right!

The palette contains two cream strobing highlighters and two powders.

The top row are rosey tones and the bottom are champagne. The bottom line is also some kid on magic act because they look so yellow/peach in the pan but are actually a blinding champagne on the skin.

Technic packaging is very simple and clearly not expensive but it's simple, sturdy and effective so I like it personally. I like that all the palettes from Technic have a clear plastic front so it it so easy to find the right product in my collection.

The first swatch above is the pink tones strobe cream. It is a true baby pink, very shimmery but also very natural looking if you use a light hand or can be built up to be a lot more intense.

Swatch two is the pink powder. When you put your finger in the product you will feel that is is a strange texture, very rough and dry. I honestly thought it would be horrible and not work at all but once I tried it, I was blown over. This shade is so pigmented, so intense, so blinding! I love it alone but I love it even more when layered over the cream counterpart.

Swatch three is a classic champagne glow. It glides onto the skin in one swipe and blends out like a dream, as you can see from the swatch it looks nothing like the yellow cream in the pan. This is my favourite.

Lastly the Champagne powder, again, it has that horrible dry texture. But somehow, again, it is a dream! Layered over the strobe cream it gives the most amazing natural champagne glow. I don't quite understand how it is so natural yet so blindingly dazzling all at once.

Day One of Technic Week complete!!!

MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighters

Left:      Iridescent Gold       Ice Sparkle       Pearlescent Sheen      :Right

I have been craving a blue highlighter for ages, I was temped to get the Jeffree Star one but then I saw this one on Instagram so I had to buy it. I also got two others so the blue didn't get lonely!

At £3.00 each they are a great way to add some variety to your highlight collection, I didn't feel happy spending £25.00 on a blue highlight that isn't your everyday. So I was pretty pleased to find this!

I got three unusual colours...

Iridescent Gold is a pigmented yellow gold which doesn't look at all natural on my pale skin but I do like to wear statement makeup so I really like it. It's summery and bright so I'm sure i'll wear it a lot in the upcoming hot weather!

Ice Sparkle is the blue, it's cold toned and reminds me so much of something Elsa from Frozen would wear! I am so up for being a Disney Princess!

Pearlescent Sheen is really unique, it is a white with various duo chrome undertones. It shimmers blues, purple and pink. It is a lovely statement shade.

As these are all very bold, I like to wear them as the main focal point. No eyeshadow, no lipstick or blush. Just flawless skin, big lashes and the highlight used on my cheek bones, my brow bone highlight and in my inner corner.

They are fantastic quality, very creamy and pigmented but they can easily be sheered out with a light hand and a fluffy brush or made more intense by using your finger or a little fix plus.

There are a load of other shades available in the Undress Your Skin Highlighter range and I might just have to buy them all!

REMINDER: Technic Week Start TOMORROW!

For the next five days there will be a post everyday highlighting a different product by the brand Technic, who I have recently fallen in love with!

Zoella Beauty Large Vanity Case

I don't really use makeup bags because I like to get ready at my makeup table and have access to everything rather than just what's in my makeup bag which I think if just the best way to make sure you use everything you own.

But when this extra large makeup bag was announced on Zoella's youtube,  I thought, yeah I need that!

The only time I used a makeup bag is when I go on holiday or away for the night and this year we have three holidays booked and most likely will have a few nights away as well. This makeup bag is so big! It is tall so I'll be able to keep body stuff in it as well such as deodorant and hair products. I like that I won't have to pack light while away, I can easily bring a couple of eyeshadow palettes and have lots of makeup variety even while I'm away! I hate to be restricted in the makeup department!

I recently had a night away and managed to fit everything I needed in this one makeup bag. It fit a change of clothes, makeup, phone charger, toothbrush and all the other little bits that I needed for one night in a hotel.

It was so nice to be able to go away with just something small and not have to worry about packing a proper overnight bag!

I was also really attracted to this makeup bag because it is beautiful! I love the polka dots and the rose gold top and hardware. It just looks lovely and feminine without looking childish in anyway.

It is very Zoe!

It is quite expensive at £18 but I would say it is worth it!

Mini Drugstore Haul!

As you all know, I have a severe makeup addiction and every time I even go near a Superdrug I end up inside with at least a handful of goodies.

I didn't need any of these things even in the slightest!

Collection have recently come out with a range of priming product so since I don't currently use a primer (mostly due to sheer laziness) I though I'd pick up this Primed and Ready Pore Minimising face primer. I haven't tried it on my face yet but when swatched, it has a silicone sort of thick texture to it. It feels sticky which is just what you need to keep your makeup on but not so sticky that it's annoying.

I only really use eyebrow powder but I don't always feel that I can get a precise brow with it. I have tried the Freedom Pomade before which I liked but the pomade dried up so quickly that I barely got to use it. When I saw this Makeup Revolution Brow Pomade I decide to give it a go in the shade Dark Brown (first swatch below) just from swatching I think that the shade is a good match for me and it is a nice thick but bendable consistency so I have high hopes.

Youtube is swimming in L'Oreal products at the moment, especially these eye paints (second swatch above). I have never really paid much attention to L'Oreal but these caught my eye, I got the shade 101 Eternal Light which is a shimmery almost white shade. I got this because I thought it would be a good inner corner highlight that would last a really long time.

Lastly, I noticed that Tanya Burr Cosmetics was reduced. I love Tanya Burr products but there were many products that I hadn't originally bought because they just weren't wearable shades for me such as this very lipstick in Central Park (third swatch above) but considering it was reduced to an impossible to pass up 70p, I just had to have it. I'm so glad that I did because it swatches beautifully. I'm super excited to try it out!

Would you guys like me to do more haul posts? Help fuel my spiralling addiction?

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

I have been dying to get my mitts on this for bloody ages! I am completely in love with the Chocolate Bar palette and I fully intend to get every palette in the Chocolate Bar collection so next on my list was this little beauty.

The shades are mostly based on peach tones with a few matching/base colours thrown in. It also smells like sweet peach! The smell is so intense, you can even smell it once applied. I literally can smell my own eyelids through out the day!

The reason I wanted this palette so badly was because the shades are very different from any other palette I own yet they are still very wearable.

This palette contains a combination of shimmers and mattes, a good collection of base shades, crease shades and all over the lid shades with a few darker shadows for good measure. I can honestly say that I will wear every shadow in this palette.

The texture of the shadows is just as incredible as the original Chocolate Bar palette, buttery, smooth and highly pigmented.

Left: Peaches 'N Cream      Luscious      Bellini      Bless Her Heart       Puree :Right

These are my favourite five shades as of yet, I haven't had the palette for that long so these are the current stand out shades but I'm sure with more experimentation I will find a load more favourites!

Peaches 'N Cream is a fantastically versatile colour, it works so well as a transition shade but I also love it all over the lid for a subtle but not too subtle easy eye look.

Luscious is my number one love of this palette. The swatches don't do the sparkle justice! It is an almost foiled peachy pink shimmer shadow, although foiled and very intense it is somehow very soft looking. I like it as the centre shade of a halo eye and as an all over lid shade with Peaches 'N Cream in the crease!

Bellini is a super unique shade of pink with peachy duo chromes. It is such a stand out in this palette, it might seem pretty hard to create a look with initially but actually it isn't at all. I love it for a halo eye or even for the inner half with a dark shade on the outer V.

Bless Her Heart is a strange one, I am not certain yet of how to actually wear it. I'll need to experiment a little more but it is beautiful. It is a shimmery light khaki green and it swatches like a dream! I will find a way to wear it!

Puree is one of the most wearable shades in my opinion. It is a soft orange toned brown and it is extremely verstile, from a crease shade to an all over the lid smokey eye. I have worn this a lot already.

Packaging! I mean what can I see, it's clear to see that it is lovely! The same shape and size of the Chocolate Bar palettes, same magnetic closure which I love. The colours are so peachy and vibrant so it looks incredible on my makeup table.

I am so pleased with this palette! It has so quickly become my new obsession and I'm certain I will love it for a long time to come!
