Alberto Balsam Blends Collection

Alberto Balsam is a hair brand in the UK only I think? I might be wrong! But it is a popular brand because the shampoos and conditioners are a mere £1, the packaging looks classy and the scents are appealing. I've bought the standard Alberto Balsam line on many occasions and always been happy with them but never particularly wowed.

When I came across the new Damage Repair range I just had to buy the whole lot. If there is anything my hair really needs right now, its damage repair. When I was a teen my hair had endless shine but now it looks very dull and I NEED all the help I can get.

Lets talk through the products one by one...

Alberto Balsam Blends Damage Repair Shampoo

This stuff smells incredible first off. I got the Natural Avocado Oil and Coconut Scent and my god is it heavenly. The product itself is a light green colour and the scent is very sweet and somewhat almond infused which I absolutely adore. I love a sweet coconut almond scent.

As shampoos go, this is nice, it lathers up well, a little goes a long way and it leaves my hair feeling clean and scented. No better than the original Alberto Balsam shampoos though.

Alberto Balsam Blends Damage Repair Conditioner

I'm someone who literally uses a whole handful of conditioner every time in an attempt to get soft silky hair but with this conditioner, that just isn't necessary. A small palm sized blob is the perfect amount, you can feel the conditioner doing its job straight away, hair turning to silk in your hands. Again, the scent is beautiful.

Alberto Balsam Blends Intensive Mask

This product is marketed as a mask but really it is just an intensive conditioner. You are directed to use it instead of conditioner, apply generously over the hair, leave for 3mins then wash out. Ive been using as well as the conditioner because I'm a rebel and I want all the moisture. Even when doing this, there is no horrible build up and my hair was left so freakishly soft. I really like this, its is so worth it.

Alberto Balsam Blends Stunning Shine, Shine Spray

Shine sprays worry me. I have had bad experiences with build up and hair being left looking greasy which is basically my worst nightmare but I sucked up my nerves and sprayed this all into the ends and lower lengths of my hair. I then blow dried the spray dry and I was super impressed! It perfectly flattened out my frizzy ends and added some much needed shine. Im sure there are better products out there but for the price I would definitely buy it again. My only qualm here is that it is peach scented?! Why is it different?!

So overall, I've been loving these products. Especially the two conditioners which are revolutionary basically. The scent is beautiful and leaves my hair smelling delicious for the whole day. And this whole collection cost just £5! Like are you kidding me?! £5 for a whole hair care collection!

I would most definitely recommend these products. If you have tried them or will try them, let me know what you think of them!

Get To Know EverydayAmy

It's time to get to know the blogger behind the blog. Facts about me, my life, my family. If you have any further questions please do ask me in the comments and I will make it my mission to reply!

Firstly, my name is Amy.

I am 23, turning 24 this coming Sunday. My birthday this year falls on Fathers Day.

My parents separated when I was 14 and I stayed living with my dad, my sister and my little brother. My brother was 1 when they split so I helped raise him. Taking him to school everyday and doing anything else my dad couldn't be there for.

My sister recently has a baby, my little niece, Evie.

I live in a small village in a cute little one bedroom house with my boyfriend, Liam, our puppy and our five guinea pigs.

Our puppys name is Watson.

The guinea pigs are called Kansas, Ramona, Nova, Stella and Rocket.

We had more guinea pigs as I have an addiction but sadly last year three of them died.

Liam and I have been together for 4 years in August and it just feels insane to have been together for so long, it has gone so fast but at the same time I feel like I've known him forever.

We have never been abroad together but are planning on doing so next year. We do however love holidays to Devon and Center Parcs which is odd because I am not very outdoorsy.

I am a make up addict and have more than I know what to do with. Yet I still continue to buy more.

I am not afraid to be creative with my make up so will happily rock crazy colours and style.

My favourite cosmetics brands are Urban Decay and Revolution.

I like to dress nicely but I don't really enjoy clothes shopping and tend to stick to safe options then accessorise them to make it more exciting and put together.

I wish I had studied something animals related as I have a huge connection with animals and would love a career with them. I also love customer service and working with computers so a combination job would be amazing!

I love decorating and diy decor which means that I live on Pinterest but rarely ever pin anything.

I have on obsession with rose gold and gold, I know everyone else is over it but I still love it.

I am a seriously fussy eater, I don't like fruits, vegetables out salad so it can be really hard for me to eat healthily.

It is also really hard not to end up with a burger in ever restaurant I go to.

I require a lot of sleep but am also a night owl so I often dose off during the day.

I have a fear of greasy hair so I wash mine every single day without fair.

Despite this, I am super lazy and almost never style it or straighten it.

My hair also rejects hair dye so I have always had the same colour hair because whenever I dye it the colour will be gone in a few weeks.

Im really OCD with organisation. Everything needs to be in the exact right place and sitting at the exact right angle.

This drives my boyfriend mad because I will moan about him not hanging the towels the way I like or putting the cushions on the sofa they correct way.

I love movies and have a huge collection but I am also very critical and am hard to please.

I have a huge range of musical tastes, from heavy rock to country and everything in between.

I am extremely shy and nervous in my places and around new people and this often stops me from doing new things.

Goodness, I have no much more I could tell but I don't want to bore you to death. Hopefully you know me a little better now but please ask me if they is anything else you would like to know and maybe ill do a part two to this post!

Two Weeks of Instagram

I haven't done a post like this in what feels like forever! But I thought now, with my viewers rising, it would be a good time to do an update.

You'll notice a theme here, Watson! Almost every photo I take at the moment is of my puppy and I have no shame because he is beautiful. My instagram doesn't follow a theme, I don't take it too seriously and I post whatever I like which is mostly my pets and makeup so I feel like my instagram is a great way to get to know me and what I like!

My Top 6 Everyday Lip Products

I have so many lipsticks, lip glosses, tints and stains but none of them get used except these 6...

I find lip products rather annoying, constantly having to reapply, not wanting to eat or drink through fear of messing it up or getting the dreaded crusty line on your inner lip mid shift at work. It's disgusting and i'd rather not wear anything on my lips at all then deal with the stress.

I'm sure you all know what I mean!

But these six products are perfection! All long wearing, long lasting and don't wear off badly. My perfect six.

1. Soap N Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Matte Lip in Choccoberry

This little bullet is freakishly tiny which makes it perfect for popping in you handbag or pocket, it is a beautiful berry toned brown that packs a colourful punch yet somehow looks very everyday. It is smooth and buttery in consistency, last hours and can be reapplied without removing the left over product first. Which is a huge plus for me.

2. Maxfactor Infinity Lasting Lip Tint in 05

These bad boys have been on the shelves for ages, I had a few back in the day but recently found this one in a local bargain store for £1! You can also buy them on amazon for a steal. I like the formula because it is sheer and long lasting, so easy just to throw on and not worry about at all for the rest of the day. It does wear off eventually but it wear away evenly so doesn't require a top out. This particular shade is a muted Kylie Jenner shade for wimps, love it.

3. NYC Smooch Proof

This is a liquid stain with a soft sort of creamy texture. It dries quickly on the lips and this particular shade is great for just adding a slight colour to your lips, I wear this almost every single day to work. NYC can be purchased from Superdrug and they usually have a 3 for £5 deal which makes this little beauty totally cost effective.

4. PS... Super Matte Liquid Lipstick in 02

I love the idea of liquid lipsticks but had yet to find one I loved because they all seemed to crust off on the inner lip and be impossible to reapply. Until I found this. It is from Primarks beauty range and it is the most incredible formula. It is drying like all liquid lipsticks but it also has a lovely velvet feel on the lips, the best bit though is that when it starts to flake off you can just add another layer and it looks perfect! You can literally reapply all day long and it will look great!

5. Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipgloss in Lunch Date

I wasn't sure whether to include this as it is very different to the other picks in that it is not long lasting and it can become incredibly sticky after a time but for some reason I keep coming back to it. It is a lovely everyday shade with a beautiful glossy finish, it has its flaws but it can be easily reapplied. It is a pain to keep applying after every sip of drink but if constant reapplication doesn't bother you then this is a great one.

6. MUA Lipstick in Shade 11

I love this lipstick because I just feel so put together when I wear it. It is a classy everyday brown with a luxurious silky smooth texture, the packaging is simple but elegant and the best part is that it is only £1! I wear this all the time!

So those are my top picks! Everything can be found at either Boots or Superdrug with the exception of the PS.. Liquid Lipstick which is available in Primark.
