The Most Magical Trip...

I'M ENGAGED!

I know, I'm in shock too!

My fiancĂ© and I have been together almost 5 years and I knew this next step was on both of our minds but I had no idea that he was planning to pop the questions just yet!

We had a week away to our favourite place Ilfracombe in North Devon booked for a while and we had been counting down the days until we could have a carefree week in the most beautiful place.

On Monday 19th June (my 25th Birthday) we packed up the car, strapped our puppy into the back seat and set off, me blissfully unaware and Liam with a ring hidden an a big box.

A few years back we visited the Ilfracombe Tunnels, these are a series of tunnels that lead to a series of small private beaches. There are multiple coves to explore making you truly feel like the only people in the world.

There were some slight hitches, on his first attempt the tide was all the way in so we couldn't get onto the beach at all so we went off for a cup of tea and headed back later on in the day...

Liam carefully chose a place for us to sit down where he would propose, he had wrapped up my birthday presents along with the ring and put them all inside a large gift box which I had been carrying around myself all day long! I went to open my present when an old couple rocked up with deck chairs and set up camp just centimetres from us, ruining the moment!

By this point poor Liam was getting a little frustrated and no doubt, nervous! He wisked me off in search of somewhere more private. By this point I was wondering why he was being to particular about where to sit and it dawned on me what he might be up too!

He led me through some shallow water and we waded our way to a beautiful beach cove that was completely deserted, romantic and just for us.

We sat on a large rock and he waited for me to unwrap all my presents until I got to the very last little box. Which contained an engagement ring!

I have never felt happiness like it!

I instantly fell even more in love with the most beautiful place in the world and the most amazing person.

We have both known since very early on in our relationship that we were forever so taking this next step honestly makes me the happiest person on earth!

The whole thing was perfect, so unique to us and so incredibly romantic.

The ring is exactly what I wanted not that he knew that so I don't understand how he got it so right!

I haven't stopped looking at it since I received it!

We have been riding on a high ever since it happened last week and I can't see us coming down anytime soon!

We are planning on taking our time with planning the wedding, aiming for June 2021 but I am so excited to go to some wedding fares, try some free cake and raid Pinterest like crazy!

MakeUp Revolution Skin Kiss Highlighter in Ice Kiss

MakeUp Revolution is an affordable brand so when I saw these little lovelies being advertised, I was shocked! They look so high end and such good quality. I knew I had to try at least one!

I am such a highlight junkie, I literally cannot do my makeup without using one. I actually own a lot of unique shades so I thought I would go for something more everyday, the pan size is huge so I thought it would be perfect because even if worn most days it would still last a really long time!

The packaging is gorgeous, a very large rose gold compact with a generous pan of highlighter. I think that the lines engraved into the product really add an expensive look and I also feel that the grooves help your brush pick up the product. Ensuring you get just the right amount on the brush every time.

As you see see above, Ice Kiss is a very natural looking almost white highlight. It can look healthy and natural but it can also been easily built up to something a lot more impactful which is the way I like to wear it! The more blinding the better I think!

This swatch shows it layers a few times, as you can see it most definitely does built up to be quite blinding! Almost metallic looking.

The texture is unique, it is buttery when swatched with a finger but a lot more dusty when applied with a brush. I actually quite like this because it is very bendable and easy to disburse on the skin making it look lovely and natural with seamless application.

I am super impressed with these! They cost just £5 so I'm pretty certain I will be investing in a few more shades!

WISHLISTt: Waterproof Mascara

One        Two        Three

I have three holidays booked this year and I am beyond excited, counting down the days till I can be fully immersed in a swimming pool! (my favourite holiday activity)

Two of these holidays are in June so really soon!

I'm not to worried about people seeing my naked face, I'm not one of those girls who wears a full face of makeup then keeps her head firmly above water. NO THANK YOU! IM GOING ON THE WATER SLIDES! But, it is nice to have some lashed to stop my eyes looking like sunken pits.

1. L'Oreal - Miss Baby Roll Waterproof

I am very temped to buy this! Everyone has been raving about this mascara all over youtube and the blogging community so I am basically being forced to buy it. The only problem is that it is constantly sold out in my local stores. I'll keep looking though!

2. Barry M - That's How I Roll Waterproof

I really like Barry M mascaras and this is the only waterproof option from them I have came across. I love the packaging and the wand looks like it would give lovely delicate fluttery lashes but I haven't heard much about it so I can't be certain it will be good. It is the cheapest option here though, so I might take the risk!

3. Too Faced - Better Than Sex Waterproof

This would be the indulgent option as it is much more expensive than the others but as it is for holiday I feel like something a little fancy would be nice. But at the same time, it is expensive and I don't use waterproof on a daily basis so would it dry out before I get a chance to use it all?

UPDATE: I have now bought and tried one of these mascaras so will be reviewing it here soon!!!!

CENTER PARCS ELVERDEN WEEKEND AWAY

Last weekend the whole family on Liam's side got together to celebrate Liam's dads 60th birthday in Centre Parcs. Liam's dad was lovely enough to get two amazing lodges for us all to share so we could spend some quality time together admiring nature!

We are a close family so we see each other a lot but in everyday life it can be hard to get everyone together so it was super nice to spend 4 days all together secluded from the rest of the world. Centre Parcs became out little bubble for the weekend!

It is common knowledge I'm sure, that I love animals so I pretty much spent most of my time trying to lure the wildlife to our lodge which as you can see, I succeeded in! At one point we had about 10 squirrels, 10 ducks, multiple birds and if you look closely you can see the gorgeously cautious deer peeking its head out of the bushes! I felt like a Disney Princess!

It was so refreshing to feel the sun on my skin all weekend, the fresh air and open water really makes you feel alive! It was all just what I needed! We were so fortunate with the weather, it was gloriously sunny and hot all weekend! Not a hint of rain!

We did lots of activities together, swimming, walks, meals out and crazy golf! Which of course I was terrible at and came second to last out of 10 players but we had a great time! Liam acted like a pro (above) but unfortunately came last!

I absolute adore Centre Parcs so I'm really sad its over but luckily me and Liam are off on holiday to Devon on Monday then we have booked Centre Parcs again for October with my side of the family so I have loads of excitement to come! I am one lucky lady this year!

PS... Mermaid Glow (MY NEW LOVE)

You all know by now that I am a huge fan of Primark makeup, there are so many gems and this is definitely one of them!

I had been seeing this all over youtube and I just knew I had to have it.

Primark however never seems to have the items you want in store. No matter what it is you are after, it won't be there when you go to buy it so I went into store with a heavy heart feeling almost certain I would come away empty handed. I looked around the whole beauty section except one area that had a huge group of teenagers swarming it. So I hovered for what seemed like a lifetime for them to leave and when they did....MERMAID HIGHLIGHTER!

The packaging is basic but the pan is huge which is always a plus. I wouldn't say it is particularly hard wearing though because I dropped it and the corner of the highlighter shattered. It is still usable but it is a shame it happened so easily.

The highlighter itself is stunning, incredibly blinding. It is a true white highlight which I really love, it can be built up to look like literal liquid metal on your face or you can use a super light hand for something more natural.

I honestly love this highlighter and it has quickly become one of my favourites but something I have to criticise is that I don't understand what is "mermaid" about it. I feel like it should have a colour shift in order to make it truly a mermaid highlighter so hopefully that is something Primark will do in the future. I sure hope so!

Just a heads up, there will be no post on Sunday as there usually is. I am away on holiday and I don't like to schedule posts as I can't check them over before they go live! Posts will resume as normal on Thursday! Thank You!

WISHLIST: Urban Decay

One        Two        Three        Four

We all know by now that I bloody love Urban Decay. I have been "attempting" to avoid high end makeup purchases recently as I am saving so my wishlist has been building up for a while! My birthday is coming up though so maybe I will treat myself to just a little something...

One: Urban Decay - Afterdark Palette

Ok, so this isn't the most wearable palette but I have fallen in love with it. All the shades are jewel toned which I don't have a lot of in my makeup collection so this palette would be a lovely addition. I think that the top line of shades would be the most wearable, I could definitely create some awesome eye looks with these!  I'm not going to lie though, I mainly want it for the packaging. It's gorgeous!

Two: Urban Decay - Jean-Michel Basquiat Gallery Blush Palette

This palette is apart of the new collection centred on the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat. I'm in two minds about this because I think it is amazing that Urban Decay are appreciating artists and branching out but Basquiat's work is personally not my cup of tea and I think this packaging is pretty ugly. However, the palettes contents look amazing, two gorgeous blush shades, a highlight and a bronzer. The perfect travel palette.

Three: Urban Decay - De Slick Complexion Primer

I have a thing for primers at the moment so I've had my eye on this one for a while. De Slick is meant to control shine which is perfect for me as I'm one shiny bitch and I hate it. The only thing stopping me is the price, it is £23 but the issue is that you don't get much product. I would literally use it all up in a few weeks so it feels like a waste of money. But I want it.

Four: Urban Decay - Rehab MakeUp Prep Pore Refining Peel

Face masks are my favourite thing ever, me and the boyfriend love doing a face mask after a long day and we especially like one that peels off. Again, the price is putting me off, £24 and not a whole lot of product. But again, I want it.

I will be buying at least one of these items, so help me out. Which one should it be?

My Top Five Lip Products

One        Two         Three        Four        Five

You'll notice a theme for nudes and easy to wear lip products here because I am so lazy with my lips.

I feel like I spend most of my life eating so anything that needs reapplying too often.
is a no from me. These are literally the only five lip products that I wear.

One: Tanya Burr Cosmetics Matte Lip in Martha Moo

I don't really like matte liquid lipsticks because they seem to crumb off on the inside of your mouth then they are really hard to re apply without taking the lot off which isn't easy.

Martha Moo is the strangest formula, it doesn't completely dry down but it isn't sticky and it lasts all  day without wearing away at all. The colour is a dream, very 90's nude and very wearable, it seems to match almost everything. It also smells delicious.

Two: Maxfactor Lipfinity Lasting Liptint in 05

I have loved the Lipfinity Liptints for years, they're essentially felt tips for you lips. I like them because they last a really long time and when they finally do wear off they wear off evenly so you never look stupid no matter how long you've had it on. I've had it in a variety of shades over the years but this one is my favourite. It again, is a 90's nude which is so wearable for everyday.

Three: NYC Smooch Proof Stain in Peach

I wear this almost everyday. NYC is no longer easily available and this tube is almost empty which breaks my heart but I just love it. It doesn't have a lot of colour but it just gives my lips some natural life. Sort of just enhances my natural lip colour.

Four: Essence Prettifying Lip Oil

This is a new love of mine. It looks yellow in the swatch but it looks like nothing on the lips, it is just so moisturising and lovely for dry lips. I keep this in my handbag and apply it literally 10 times a day, my lips feel like a babies bottom.

Five: Urban Decay Sheer Lipstick in Love Light

This is my fancy handbag lipstick, it is a wearable every day shade with loads of moisture and a hint of gold glitter. I like it for when I need something subtle but nice. It lasts a long time and wears off evenly so it is the perfect fuss free lippie.

What are your fave lip products?
