Movie Review: Cinderella 8.5/10

                                                        "Have Courage and be Kind"

I am a huge Disney fan, I love the movies, merchandise, music, my whole house is completely over run with Disney Magic so when this film came out I was first at the cinema!

We all know the story and the film is much the same as the original tale, usually this can make a film feel stale. Like you've seen it all before and it just doesn't impress but this film was very different.  It displayed something I feel live action Disney has been missing for a while, magic. The feeling of being a child again and watching Cinderella for the first time, feeling the magic of Disney in your heart. Something recent releases such as "Maleficent" desperately missed. It had everything, it creates laughter, happiness, sadness, it takes you through a range of emotions in such a delicate way.

As for the casting, it was really great. Lily James was a perfectly beautiful choice for Cinderella and in my opinion every character looked and acted like they had stepped straight out of the original story. Helena Bonham Carter was magnificent just like she is in every movie she is in and the scene where she as the fairy god mother appeared and made Cinderellas night at the ball a reality was absolutely perfectly animated. It looked magical in every sense of the word.

I shall head to the Disney store and purchase myself a mug just like I do with every Disney film I see. This film was definitely a step in the right direction for Disney and I sincerely hope they keep it up with the live action released to come.

Wishlist: Blusher Palettes

I have never been the biggest blusher fan, I wear it of course but i've never found it exciting to collect. I have always loved to collect eyeshadows the most because they come in endless colours and can be used in endless ways but what I didn't realise is that blusher is much the same. I've always just had one blusher that I uses everyday but recently I have had crazy blusher lust!

I think palettes are the best way to collect an assortment of colours without cluttering up your makeup collection and having the troubles of favouritism. Palettes mean that you see all the colours everyday and you are more likely to mix it up and try out new things, you also can't beat the feeling of opening up a brand new palette!

I have narrowed it down to three reasonably affordable options but honestly, I might just buy them all!

Movie Review: CHAPPIE 2/10

My boyfriend and I have unlimited cards for our local cinema meaning we pretty much see every film that comes out, unless it looks absolutely terrible. I thought Chappie was one of those films but my boyfriends insisted that because it was directed my Neil Blomkamp the director of District 9 and Elysium, that it would be a good film. We now both agree that he was incorrect.

Now, I have actually never seen any of Neil Blomkamps films so I based my hypothesis on that fact two of the main cast are the members of rap group Die Antwoord. I actually don't mind the band! I've know of them for a while and find their colourful music videos such as for 'Evil Boy' which for the most part is a series penises for the whole video, really awesome. This may be an interesting music video but I didn't see how this could qualify them to be actors. But then again, with other cast such as Hugh Jackman and Dev Patel of obvious fame, I thought maybe it would have some redeeming qualities. Again, I was wrong.

The basis of the film is that a group of drug dealers who steal a robot which has been programmed to feel human emotions and grow like a human child. The dealers want to teach the robot to kill their enemy and help them with criminal activity but they grow to care for the robot. The opposing dealers as well as Hugh Jackmans character attack the robot and have a ridiculous show down where the majority of the characters are killed. The robot finds a way to capture consciousness and makes robots out of his dead friends. I won't go into the details to much because it really is just too terrible to type too much about.

The characters are hollow and over exaggerated. The whole film is basically a crazy celebratation of a band no one cares about. The robot wears bling for christs sake. The acting is so awful and for the most part you can't even understand what they are saying. Its so baffling because although critics reviews haven't been great, viewer reviews are really good! It's not times like this i just loose faith in humanity.

I walked out of the cinema feeling completely shocked and confused that the film had even been allowed on the big screen. Don't waste your time like I did.

Meet The Rodents

Top to Bottom: Popcorn, Kansas, Ramona, Moon-Pig, Rocket, Bane, Stella, Nova.

One of my main interest in life may be a crazy one but.... I love guineapigs and over the past three years I have managed to collect 7 of them and a hamster.

I just find them unbelievably cute and clever, they all have such different little personalities and each make me happy in a different way. Ramona is the friendly one, Moon-Pig is the greedy one, Nova and her babies Rocket and Stella are the feisty ones, Kansas is the shy one, Popcorn is ticklish all over! Then Bane the hamster is quite possibly the happiest, most mischievous and lovable little boy.

They honestly cost me a fortune, in bedding, food, illness and just the general costs of keeping them but they are worth it in every way. They provide unconditional love and that is something everyone needs in their lives. I would be a very different person without out them in it.

There will be many updates regarding them on this blog in the future! Let me know if this is something that would be interesting!
