Falling in Love with H&M Beauty...

When H&M makeup was first released I fell in love with the adorable vintage inspired packaging but none of my local H&M's stocked it! Even Bluewater which is my local enormous shopping centre but after a recent refurbishment, Bluewater now does stock it and I am so freaking pleased.

I didn't want to go crazy and buy loads in case it wasn't good so I asked Liam (boyfriend) for one for Christmas then I got myself another after Christmas.

I got a Pure Velvet Cream Blusher in Sunny Peach ( Right Swatch) and a Pure Radiance Powder in Cherry (Left Swatch)

I got one cream and one powder partly so I could have a compact in each black and white but also to try both formulas. I actually don't have a favourite, I really love both formulas and both shades. Cherry is a really intense deep cherry shade which requires a light hand as the pigmentation is insane but is a gorgeous colour. I'm in love with it.

Sunny Peach is a pink/peach with small shimmers, it is slightly less pigmented but I like that as it gives a more natural flush to the cheeks. It is great for an everyday look, just makes me look so bright and healthy.

I know I've only tried two products so far but the combination of fabulous packaging and incredible products, I'm sold. I'll definitely be adding to my collection in the coming months!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in Mint Condition

I have been eyeing up this highlighter for ages, I mean, it's green! It's so bizarre to see a green highlighter, in fact, I can't think of another brand that has one!

As awesome as it is though, I wasn't sure that it would be very wearable but I how wrong was I! I really love this!

Lets start with the packaging, it is gorgeous. You get a huge amount of product in a sturdy compact with a whopping mirror. Personally I don't really use the included mirrors in anything but it is nice touch, it adds such a luxurious feel. The compact is perfectly sized for the palm of your hand and produces a beautifully satisfying click when you snap it closed!

I love the hot pink as well, it's different to most of my other makeup so it stands out in my collection and allows me to reach right for it.

The attention to detail is incredible, I have used this so many times now and the embossed star is still clear as day which makes me super happy because it is so adorable. The formula itself is buttery and smooth, you literally cannot feel the shimmer or glitter in the product at all; it's actually really weird. I don't know how Jeffree managed it.

The colour pay off is incredible. I thought that being that this is ultimately a highlighter that maybe the actual green pigment would be very faint but that is not the case at all, if used dry the highlight you get is most definitely green and if you're not careful you can end up with a green stripe on your cheek. That isn't a bad thing though, I bought a green highlight so I wanted a green highlight so I'm happy I wasn't disappointed. I've found that the best approach is to use a very fluffy brush then blend the shit out of it. I also like to layer a more white toned highlight over the top to help blend away any harsh lines.

Mint Condition does require some effort and a unique approach, this is not your typical highlighter but personally, I think it's great.

New Year, New Scrapbook!

Happy New Year! Goodbye 2016, Welcome 2017!

Firstly, apologies for my blog absence, I currently have no camera to take blog photos on and I've been really busy with work and with Christmas. I had wanted to do lots of Christmas posts such as What I Got For Christmas but I can't photograph it so that idea will have to be forgotten! I did receive some incredible presents this year which will appear here in the next few weeks!

Last Christmas my boyfriend got me a scrapbook and I've loved doing it so much this year that he got me another one this year. To go with my new scrapbook he got me the HP Sprocket printer, I'm sure you've already heard loads about this amazing little device but I'll have it linked HERE if not. Basically it is an inkless mini printer, you can print photos from your phone and edit them with filters, frames and text. It is pretty much the coolest thing on earth.

I think it is super important to document your life and not just online. Do you remember sitting with your grandparents and looking through old photos and thinking how cool they were, how different they looked? I want to do that with my grandkids one day. I want something physical to look through with them and laugh at how silly I looked.

A scrapbook for me just takes it a step further, not only will you have old photos but you'll have concert tickets, holiday wristbands and so many other little bits of your history stuck in forever. Things that might otherwise be thrown away but will prove to be a great memory in the future.

My New Years Resolution is to document, cherish the good times and remember them over the bad. Are you with me?
